Every athlete starts with a free intro call.

Pitcher on the mound, ball in hand, looking in

Every pitcher is different.

The Mound Method combines mechanical analysis, real-game review, mental coaching, and individualized training to help pitchers become more complete athletes. Two pitchers with the same velocity can need two completely different plans, so the plan starts with how you move, not with a template.

Jack has spent ten years learning the craft from high-level coaches and former MLB players, working through pitching data, mechanical analysis, and real game situations. He uses that experience to give younger pitchers the perspective he wishes every athlete had access to.

Pitcher set on the rubber at dusk

Jack Priory

Freshman pitcher, Messiah University

I'm a freshman pitcher at Messiah University. I'm not a retired pro and I'm not going to pretend to be one. I'm still throwing, still getting coached, still working on my own delivery, which means the work I'm asking my athletes to do is work I'm doing myself this week.

For the last ten years I've been tutored and coached by professional coaches and former MLB players. I've spent that time around pitching data, mechanical analysis, and real game situations, learning how a small change shows up two innings later.

I've experienced the highs of pitching, the struggles, the adjustments, and the work it takes to keep improving. I've been through the same ups and downs my athletes are going through, and that lets me connect with them differently.

I want to give younger pitchers the knowledge and perspective I wish every athlete had access to. I want every pitcher in this program to grow as a player and as a person, and to have fun doing it.

03

Start the subscription

$50 a month once you and Jack agree it's a fit. Cancel any time.

04

Send your film

Bullpen and game footage. Jack reviews mechanical tendencies, strengths, deficiencies, and areas for development, then writes your program.

The waiver

Every athlete signs the Baseball Pitching Program Participation Agreement before training starts, and athletes under 18 need a parent or legal guardian to sign it as well. It covers assumption of risk, the limits of remote coaching, pitch counts and throwing workload, injury reporting, emergency medical authorization, and video consent.

Read the whole thing before you sign. The document itself is what governs, not this summary.

The form accepts typed electronic signatures. Send the completed copy to jbmbaseball@icloud.com before the first session. The agreement is governed by Pennsylvania law.

Questions from athletes and parents

Who is this for?

Pitchers who want a plan built for them instead of a generic one. You don't have to be the best arm on your team. You do have to actually do the work between calls.

What ages do you work with?

Youth and high school pitchers. If you're not sure it's a fit, that's what the intro call is for.

What does the $50 a month include?

Two one-on-one Zoom calls, a day-to-day training program written for you, mechanical analysis, bullpen analysis, game-film analysis, mental approach work, and ongoing adjustments as you change. No contract, cancel any time.

How do the Zoom calls work?

Two a month, scheduled around your season and school. Jack goes through your recent film on the call, tells you what he's seeing and why it matters, and gives you what he wants next. Athlete and parents are both on it.

Do parents participate?

Yes, on every call. It keeps everyone on the same page about the plan and the workload, and it means the athlete isn't the only one who has to remember what was said.

What kind of video should I send?

Phone video is fine. Bullpen footage, game footage, or both. A side angle showing the whole body and a straight-on angle are the most useful. Jack will tell you exactly what he wants after the first look.

Do you work with pitchers outside of your area?

Yes. The Mound Method is primarily remote and online, so where you live doesn't matter. In-person instruction, when it's offered, happens at fields and facilities in Pennsylvania.

What about pitch counts and workload?

A game pitch count is only part of what an arm is doing. Bullpens, long toss, practices, lessons, showcases, position-player throwing, and velocity work all add to it, and none of that shows up on a Zoom call. So you and your parents report games pitched, innings, soreness, and outside training honestly and promptly, and the plan gets built around the real number. The program never overrides a more restrictive league, school, or medical restriction.

Is there a waiver?

Yes, and every participant signs it before training starts. Athletes under 18 need a parent or legal guardian signature too. Download it here and read it in full.

How do I get started?

Email or call and set up the free intro call. If it's a fit, you sign the waiver and send film, and Jack builds the first plan from there.
